¿Is your house in order?

CYVI
Is your house in order?
We are what we speak. If you say “your church will be full” – your church will be full. God wants HIS house in order. In Ezekiel 37 we read about dry bones – the muscles, tendons, and bones all came together, but nothing happened until God breathed on it. God is not going to breathe into His house (the Church) until He has it in order.
If your house is not in order, it will not stand, and it will not stand! Matthew 7: 24-27 (KJV) So whoever hears these words from me and does them, I will liken him to a prudent man who built his house on the rock. The rain descended, the rivers came, the winds blew, and beat against that house; and it did not fall, because it was founded on rock. But anyone who hears these words and does not do them, I will compare him to a foolish man, who built his house on sand; and the rain descended, and the rivers came, and the winds blew, and beat against that house; and he fell, and his ruin was great.
From a business point of view, if you look at a closed restaurant, you might say, “That place of business didn’t have enough of a clientele to stay open.” But contrary to that comment, I say that the place of business may have had too many customers. Success can negatively affect as quickly as not having enough business. Maybe it took too long for your table to be ready … maybe the food took too long to come out … maybe the waiter or waitress was rude. When having these kinds of experiences, most people will say “I will NEVER come back.”
I just described the church … If you are not at your best, people will not return. All departments should be ready – ushers, greeters, nursery, and so on. Notice how I didn’t say anything about preaching, praise, or worship. In many churches the focus is there and it is where it needs to be, but it is not the glue. The other departments are the ones that will hold preaching, praise, and worship.
