Position: Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer, CBTS Technology Solutions LLC d/b/a CBTS.

Worksite Location: This position reports to the Cincinnati, Ohio office, but requires that the employee be willing to relocate to assigned worksites at various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. and reside within commuting distance of the current assigned worksite.

Duties: The Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer will focus on designing and developing automation to support continuous delivery and continuous integration processes. Responsible for building a DevOps discipline within the organization. Assist in the development and growth of the hybrid cloud strategy, including productizing public and private cloud services for AWS, VMware, Azure, and Google. Work closely with Cloud Sales, Solution, and Enterprise Architecture teams to assess customer environments, incorporate requirements, and design modern hybrid cloud solutions. Evangelize and educate on the benefits and future direction of Cloud DevOps methodologies. Coding and developing continuous automation/delivery processes and tools; Designing and building a hybrid cloud product in support of a Managed Services model; Solution design and architecture, in support of customer assessments and sales engagements; Training and educating staff, self-training, growth, and education. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 5 yrs of exp. developing & deploying cloud apps & services, incl. configuring & managing deployment processes to ensure seamless integration, scalability, & optimal performance in cloud environments, specifically Amazon Web Services (AWS). 5 yrs of exp. with DevOps practices, specifically Bitbucket Git (pull requests, branching, tagging, etc.), code reviews, pipelines, & Jenkins CI/CD. Exp. participating in & contributing to AWS cloud architecture meetings to discuss strategies such as data perimeter, Service Control Policies (SCPs), legacy account migration approaches, tagging strategies, & IAM strategies, etc. Skilled in understanding & analyzing bus. requirements by transcribing them to the appropriate AWS services. Exp. In automating the creation of new AWS accounts with required base infrastructure configurations, such as IAM password policies, S3 public access settings, EBS encryption, enabling VPC Flow Logs, setting S3 encryption, enabling AWS Config settings, setting tags, creating DNS records for EC2 instances upon creation, creating EBS backups, onboarding accounts to the metrics server, etc., while adhering to & complying with all organizational policies & standards. 5 yrs of combined exp. in AWS Networking & Content Delivery, incl. API Gateway, CloudFront, Route 53, & Elastic Load Balancing, etc. 5 yrs of exp. in AWS Compute, incl. EC2, EC2 Auto Scaling, Lambda, etc. 5 yrs of combined exp. in AWS Security, Identity, & Compliance, incl. AWS Identity & Access Mgmt., Inspector, Certificate Manager, Key Mgmt. Service, etc. Exp. in AWS Security enhancements (GuardDuty, Inspector & Firewall Manager). 5 yrs of combined exp. in database systems, both SQL & NoSQL, incl. Aurora, DynamoDB, RDS, Redshift, etc. 5 yrs of exp. in storage services, incl. S3, EBS, etc. Exp. in AWS Analytics configuration, incl. Glue, Athena, Kinesis, etc. 5 yrs of exp. in Application integration, incl. Step functions, EventBridge, Simple Notification Service, Simple Queue Service etc. Exp. in Cloud Financial Mgmt., incl. AWS Cost Explorer, Budgets, AWS Cost & Usage Report, etc. Exp. with container administration, incl. AWS EKS, ECS, Fargate, etc. 2 yrs of combined exp. in Mgmt. & Governance, incl. AWS Orgs, CloudFormation, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, Service Catalog, Command Line Interface, Config, Systems Manager, etc. Exp. in developing infrastructure as code using Terraform & Terragrunt. Exp. with logging & monitoring tools, such as Splunk & New Relic. Exp. with security & risk mitigation tools, such as Prisma & Wiz. Exp. with cloud networking & monitoring tools, such as Aviatrix controller, modules, & Copilot, VPC flow logs. 5 yrs of exp. working with ServiceNow & ITIL concepts as it relates to incidents, problem, request item & change mgmt. 5 yrs of exp. with Program Increment planning, sprint planning, backlog story grooming, sprint reviews, daily stand-ups, & sprint retrospective meetings, utilizing Agile project mgmt. tools such as Jira & Confluence. 5 yrs of exp. in writing detailed user stories for epics in Jira, ensuring clear requirements & acceptance criteria that align with project goals & stakeholder expectations. 2 yrs of exp. in documenting code in Bitbucket, incl. creating clear & comprehensive comments & README files to ensure code clarity & maintainability. 5 yrs of combined exp. in programming with Python, Boto3, PowerShell, & Shell Scripting. 2 yrs of exp. in troubleshooting & fixing the issues, incl. diagnosing problems & implementing solutions to resolve issues related to infrastructure, networking, & services for improved performance & reliability. Certifications in at least 1 of the following: 1. AWS CERTIFIED SOLUTIONS ARCHITECT-PROFESSIONAL 2. AWS CERTIFIED DEVOPS ENGINEER–PROFESSIONAL. Certifications in at least 2 of the following:1. Aviatrix-Multicloud Network Operations Specialty, 2. Aviatrix-Multicloud Network Associate,3. HASHICORP CERTIFIED: TERRAFORM ASSOCIATE.
